The main part of the research will be done by the Japanese Principal Investigator, Prof. Nobuko Ohmido and her group. She has gained extensive experience and published numerous papers about plant genetics, breeding and chromatin dynamics on molecular cytogenetic analyses of plant chromosomes using Chromosome image analysis (CHIAS), fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH), immunostaining in Gramaceae, Brassica, and Legaceae, Hydrangeas and so on. She has published more than 40 papers in international journals and participated in numerous international collaborative projects.
